I am totally out of date on this technology. Has any of you ever have same problem on all 3 camcorder, same manufacture? it is Sony. All 3 sony dv cam in your family are having similar problem (use by different people). My mom's digital Sony, bought almost 10 years ago, my Brother Sony mini DV cam is bad with the same problem, my Sony dv cam is the same. Both are bought around 5 or 6 years ago. They are all using the dv mini tape.

The problem is that it keep making the linking sound while flashing and not functioning at all. If I try to turn it off, take the tape out, and put it back in. Once in a while, it's works but only for a little while and the problem come back when you press record. Now they are all in the closet and never touched for a a long time. I figure out we have to have at least 1 cam for this christmas, therefore I hope there is a quick fix for this?
Does it worth it to find a place to fix them? If not, I will have to come up with more questions on which cam to get now since I am already sick of Sony cam although I love Sony cam since that is the only one I have been using for a long while.
