Why a semi-auto? Revolvers are MUCH less prone to jamming. Get a .357 and you can shoot .38 specials through it all day long! Anyway, revolvers are easier to handle, less tricky to operate, and will be easier to shoot for a novice shooter (not that you are a novice).
Yep, I'm going to get flamed for it, but check out revolvers. Did I also mention they are usually less expensive to purchase???
