The consensus is that I shoiuld remove it which I am going to do after the concourse event.
The car has lived all it's life in Canberra (Australia's Capital) which is a relatively cooler part of Australia. Now that I have purchased it and brough it to Perth which is much warmer I agree that I should remove it.
To do any type of work other than changing oil such as valve adjustments you would need to remove the shroud.
