Supe, I personally don't keep my Colt "cocked & locked" either, although I have no doubt it's perfectly save based upon Browning's design. I know some disagree, but I don't even keep a round chambered (nor do I ever carry, although I sometimes make sure it's handy if I'm going to be in certain scenarios). Still trying for that "last word"
