Depends if you have small hands or not. Paraordinance P12, steel frame will fill the bill, but if you have small hands it may be too much of a handful. I have it as well as a single stack 1911. I have large hands, so the double stack P12 isn't an issue. I have the SA 1911 on the nightstand.
