It bolts onto the lower part of the trigger guard and comes with three different size shim-looking plastic pieces, and you slide one of them into the upper slot in the photo. I think it has some kind of quad-cam lobes inside and each one pushes the shim into the trigger. It works a lot like one of those old pencil sharpeners we had in elementary school. I believe it will work ambidexterously.
I'm sure you could rig up a motor to it, but that would make it hard to lug around and would certainly get you some attention at a public range. The main issue with one of these is mag. capacity. Anyone who's had some range time with a full auto gun knows that you spend more time loading mags than anything else. But you really don't need a motor. It cranks so easily and you don't even have to try to make it go as fast as a full auto gun. I can easily spit out 10 rds. in one second.
