Credit Crunch?
So I go to the bank this morning to take out some cash because I'm buying a set of winter wheels/tires for my dad's M3 tomorrow in Indianapolis on my way home for Thanksgiving. As I am doing the transaction, the teller informs me that a banker would like to talk to me for a few minutes because my account has reached the "Gold" level.
The banker then informs me that I have qualified for a reward and a new credit card. The new CC would be an upgrade to my current student card that has a measly $800 limit. I asked her if my limit would go up at all and she told me it would...to $15,000.
That pretty much explains why our economy is going to hell. There is absolutely no reason that someone in my position should be given access to that much money. I am a 20 year old student with no job and no income. Granted, I have always paid my balance in full and have good credit, but still. $15 grand is asinine. When I get my card, I am going to lower my limit to a more reasonable $4-$5k.
On the other hand, I wonder if any cal dealers will take a credit card?
