After about four months of non-continuous work on this thing, it's finally finished. I'm very proud of how this turned out, especially considering that I've never quite tackled a job this large before. It's about 99% done - there are just a few cleanup things that I need to do on it over the next few weeks. I had some people experienced in construction take a look at the design / construction of the deck, and they think it's way overbuilt, which is great - means I can sleep fine at night. A majority of the deck's supports are sitting on actual little shelves in the concrete that are part of the pool - very, very secure.
