I used to accept every friend request (more friends = cooler
). I would just ignore his messages and if he asks, claim you cant respond to every message or you never go on facebook. Better than dealing with "why dont you want to be my friend?" In my experience, a facebook friend does not constitute a real friendship anyway, more of an awareness of the other person's existence or inclusion in some sort of broad, common social network.
