I have a cheap plasticy coated mirror. I douse it liberally in the hot water for 20 seconds, and it'll hold the heat long enough to shave. If it starts to fog, I repeat. I've tried the drop of soap method, but it does tend to make it blurry.

Try getting your mirror as warm as the water, and it won't fog.
