Sold my 02 KRS last spring and have regretted it ever since I saw it ride off under the new owner's control. A bit of professional uncertainty caught me in a soft moment and I sold the bike (a bit too easily) for essentially the same as I paid for it. Replaced it with a HD V-rod and like the bike, but long for insane power and handling. The V-rod is only breath-taking. May keep both.
Well, times are even more tenuous...and professional uncertainty is now a way of life...but the lure of an affordable 08 K12S was more than I could stand. I found a new 08S with ABS, OBC and a center stand at a dealership up North where the snow is blowing around. We worked out a great deal and are arranging shipping for arrival in early December. 09's will be out in the spring and BMW has some strong incentives out to move the last of the 08's.
Fortunately, I was able to get it in the fast color. Black....always elegant. Fully expecting many sleepless nights until she arrives. It's my 50th birthday present to myself and I can't recall having that giddy feeling deep inside in a long, long time.
It's good to be back! Tank slappers and grip puppies will start the farkeling.
Not the exact bike but essentially the same. Open to suggestions for a name (I've never named a vehicle before...but feel somehow compelled)...
