Opinions wanted on snow tires

Hi all,

Long time 944 owner here, going for another set of snow tires in the next couple of days. Would like your opinions.

Has anyone any experiences with the Dunlop Winter Sport M3, on a 944 or any car? Can anyone compare it to either the Blizzak WS50 or WS60 in terms of grip on snow and ice?

I've done all of my homework on various snow tires, and if the Dunlop's snow and ice grip is "close enough" to that of the Blizzak's, then I'll be going with the Dunlop. I've been buying Q-rated studless snow tires for the past ten years; would like to try H-rated tires, but not if they bring a significant drop in snow and ice traction. Also curious about changing lanes on a slush-covered interstate.

I drive in Northern Ohio and SE Michigan, so I see it all -- snow, ice, slush, and lots of wet and dry roads. I'm looking out primarily for the worst situations, but if I can have better performance all around while only losing a little in the most extreme conditions, then it might be worth it.

Thanks,

Tony
