Mineral oil in R12GS and K12S clutches
I was recently reading through some of Anton Largiader's articles on his website and noticed this:
"Starting with the R1200GS and K1200S, BMW started using mineral oil instead of brake fluid in the clutch system. It does not require changing (ever) and of course is non-corrosive if it happens to get on the paint."
First time I had heard this....that the clutch fluid in these bikes never needs changing! True for the R12S as well? Is this common knowledge and I just missed it or....????
