lol - not long after i posted that, i thought about the C4 - still not what i would drive in the snow, regardless of tires, but better than 2WD - some reasons are:
some other idiot that doesn't know how to drive in the snow is very likely to mess up your coachwork
the crap they put on the road gets up into the car and rusts everything - for that reason i won't buy a car from back east
even when you are paying attention, driving slowly, and doing everything right, you can still end up in a snow bank when you hit that black ice
buy a beater for the snow - back east people buy "winter cars" all the time
