That chart does have data from real owners for whatever it is worth. The Ram Hemi is a special case of trying to capitalize on the retro thing. The regular ram in more inline. Go to fueleconomy.gov and play around. Try a cobalt, civic, camry.

More fun. The ridgeline is cheating with a 6cyl and still is not that much better.
