If you are looking to get into the rental property business I'd forget it.
All the nice areas have apt complexes that make Melrose Place look like a slum and they are affordable. Lotsa competition and the nice places always have availability. Need to be willing to do 6 month leases.
The lesser complexes make Compton look like Beverly Hills. (that one is an exaggeration but not by much)
