Those look real familar. I was at a "Spectrum auction" in Northridge CA in 1986. A dealer had a few DP Motorsport cars there to introduce the new availability of the DP style Porsche to the CA market then ( 1986) . That was my first introduction to this K2 style. The sales line was one was built as a 300HP for cruising the other one, lots more HP and could be ordered just about anyway you wanted it. The before mentioned 1984 by Kremer designed by and built for Mario Andretti with this style superseded these by 2 years. Others with the K2 racing Kevlar bodywork may have been built by Kremer or DP Motorsports for street use so that is one thing I would like to find out. The DPs I saw being marketed were 1986 models and being PRd as the "new deal". Anyone with any additional info of a 935 street K2 that was built before OCt 1984 would be greatly appreciated. Also just a note Monterey Historic races will feature Porsche high performance cars as the featured marque in the 2009 extravaganza so if you have one ... Also the 4 main auctions will be trying to get good examples for their events to encourage the owners to trade their car for cash.
