I remember many a day of riding in my uncles 911 up to Vail from Denver. We went through all kinds of badness - cars off the road everywhere - and we chugged along unscathed. That motor sitting right over the wheels puts the power to the ground. Little know fact that 911s (and old VW Beetles) are great in the snow with the right tires and driver. Unfortunately, the defoggers aren't quite as well suited to driving in blizzard consitions, but we managed.
