My original idea was to buy something in the southern U.S. and drive it back as a new car adventure and holiday combo deal.
The tanking dollar meant that a $14,000 US car was costing me well over $20k. And the $14,000 C4's really weren't great cars. So I started looking locally.

118,000 km, just had a $10,000 engine rebuild, and it is in really great shape. In the end I paid less than I would have for the $14,000 US car, but I didn't get the holiday.
So, yes I am driving it home, in a few weeks.
And yesterday a fellow Pelican delivered four snows on OEM rims to my son in Montreal. I have to go fetch those in early January.
