It's been a long time since I've been lifting. When I did lift, I changed from the pyramids I did when in college to lighter weights and more reps. As I got older, I didn't want to increase muscle mass, which is what pyramids do, but wanted to develop leaner muscle.
I am not sure what your goals are, but you should figure that out. Adding muscle mass may not be in your best interests long term.
Congrats on reaching 340. That's serious weight.
