It takes time to connect all of the dots and weed out the bud from the shake, so to speak. I've been actively studying this stuff for the last 5 years and I still don't feel like I know what the hell I'm doing.
Beware the fear-mongering news/financial sources like CNN. I view these as the "Cosmopolitan" of investment resources that are designed to appeal to people that only want to read one web page.
