My problem with that type of driving is that it would add 1.5 hours to my average trip back and forth to school. I would normally burn about 13 gallons of gas and hypermiling would take that down to 9 gallons burned. Even when gas was over $4 a gallon, that extra 1.5 hours would only save me $16 (now about $7). That just isn't worth it. I'll keep going for the shortest time on the road possible for the forseeable future.
Still is interesting though that they can squeeze that kind of mileage out of a 911.
