Are you sure it's a 993 decklid and not a 964? The 993 lid is shorter than the pre-89 ones.

The best way to wire it is using an aftermarket load-sensing circuit, that allows power windows to go up and down with a single touch, instead of having to hold the switch in one direction or the other and count in your head.
