Nah...I work for government...Dept of the Air Force. I have two Senior Engineer slots open now. Pay is not too high, but plenty of responsibility and job security...and you would get to work around some prety cool stuff (satellites and space vehicles)...and best of all, you could work for me.
I can't blame you for wanting to stay near family.
