This is pretty much what I've read between the lines. At the rate they're going it probably makes sense to start over with something more suited to bulk processing. THey're using MySQL for the database IIRC. Unfortunately I am only in an advisory position here. I just can't believe it takes 8 months to do a good series of data extracts despite their complexity.
