In 1991 I broke my right femur at Telluride after hitting a giant boulder that was maybe just a little off piste and spent about a year in a chair/on crutches/with a cane. Four surgeries later I'm still skiing but I'm much happier on groomed slopes. No cartilage left in either knee makes moguls difficult and painful. Cruising in powder is great but tiring. I usually get to Vail/Aspen someplace out west every year. Next year it's Vail in February.
Sounds like a "whole lot of fun".... I've got 2 boys in the system right now, unfortunately 1 is in ASG (J5) , and the other is in Juniors (J3) so we are at different mountains a lot of time in the season. This is our 3rd weekend this season as Mission Ridge (3 hours east of Seattle) is able to blow snow top to bottom as long as it's cold enough. I'm getting older (51), but I still enjoy a pretty full day every weekend. We just had a huge dump, so I'm hoping there is still some left in the trees tomorrow.

It doesn't last long enough...I'm on a heck of a "ride" right now!

Get out there!!

cheers,
Eric
