decide what you want to illuminate
1. small spot lights are good for a particular area
2. general ambient otherwise

LEDs are best - esp. if you leave them on as a "night light" for those late night snacks

I put in Zenons a few years ago - they aren't real cheap either
Kuchler?? might have been the brand.
