In June my wife went for a trip to the Altai republic - where Mongolia, China and Siberia meet. Research group on Snow Leopards. Every day they climbed into the 'hills' to search for tracks, scats etc. She came back very fit!!
Altai is in Siberia - those mountains in the distance are in China.
