Oh, I have also learned that the Vanagon cannot even get 30 feet down our street to the main road when there is 6" of snow on the ground. So I worked from home today and tommorrow will have to freeze waiting for the bus.
But the Prius can pick its way down the steep icy driveway, push through the snow ruts, and away. Too bad the wife needs it this week.
Both have snow tires.
