Well what do expect your in L.A. This goes on day after day, week after week, well you get the idea.
So next time you change lanes you don't signal. It was safe. There were at least 4 or 5 car lengths between you and the car you pull in front of. Nobody had to hit the brakes. But the guy comes unglued! Honking, flashing, flipping the So And So BMW/Porsche driver. You can't let it get to you. After all your in L.A.

BINGO!! This is exactly how it is out here. In fact, you don't even need to turn on your blinker to get the door slammed shut. All you have to do is just pull up alongside the car you're going to pass (going maybe 5 mph faster). This is usually enough to cause the driver of the other car (usually an SUV, actually), to speed up just enough that the door is slammed shut. Then they slow down and just sit there, smug that they just fuched with you a little bit. Pisses me off. What's really sad is that my father in law, who's becoming a real road crab these days, does this krap all the time. I know because I'm a frequent passenger in his Chevy Tahoe (formerly mine, btw). He thinks EVERYONE (and I mean EVERYONE) on the road is either a menace to society or is just plain stupid, so he's on this constant warpath to prevent people from getting in front of him. It's embarrassing and has gotten to the point where my mother-in law, my wife and I hate driving with him.
I suspect there are plenty out there like him.
