I was frankly surprised by the test(s)...I have owned Toyota, Dodge (Powerwagons back in the 70's), Chevy and Ford trucks and frankly never throught there was that much difference between them, especially the 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton variety.
I currently drive a 2005 F-150 4x4 Crew Cab with the big V-8 for towing horses, a dump trailer and a flat bed trailer. Works great but 21 mpg is a pipe dream
I also have a small 2001 Tacoma for the samll jobs.
