1986 Porsche 944 (CA)

For sale:

1986 Porsche 944 non turbo - $4900

I bought this car in 2005 (3rd owner) and have since then performed tons of maintenance on it, mainly preventive. I really hate to see my car go, it's just time to drive something different and I can't afford or have room for 2 cars. The car has 167000mi. When I bought it, I immediately replaced the timing belt, waterpump and rollers, as that's the Achilles heel on these cars. Then I replaced the timing belt again not too long ago at 153000mi.
I replaced the following on the car in the time I had it:

-- Timing belt, waterpump, and rollers (timingbelt twice, last time at 153000mi)
-- Completely overhauled brake calipers, new seals, clips, brake reservoir
-- New stainless steel braided lines, pads and cross drilled rotors on all 4 corners
-- New radiator, new waterhoses and coolant tank
-- Fuel pressure regulator
-- Fuel pressure dampener (still in box)
-- New ignition rotor and Magnecor plug wires
-- New Bilstein HD shocks, Weltmeister 250lbs front springs
-- Swaybars from a 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo front (24mm) and rear (18mm) and new swaybar rubber bushings
-- H4 headlights instead of the sealed OEM lights
-- New B&B Billy Boat catback stainless steel exhaust (retail $700!)
-- New catalytic converter and O2 sensor
-- New replica Fuchs and tires 16x7 front (225) and 16x9 rear (245), Original 15" wheels are also included with the car
-- CDR220 radio/CD from a 996
-- New short shift kit and new shift lever
-- Momo Prototipo steering wheel
-- Various OEM small stuff to freshen up the interior

I have maintenance records dating back to 1996, so this includes EVERYTHING. I have all the receipts of the stuff I replaced on my car in the list above, plus a bunch more that I forgot. The work was performed by myself as well as a well-respected Porsche shop in Riverside, who knows this car well. I still have a lot of original parts in boxes as well that I kept with the car.
The car was last smog checked in Jan 2007 and passed with flying colors. I also have the original warranty/maintenance book with dealer stamp when the car was delivered plus the owners manual.

This 944 is truly one of the few 944's that I've seen in the LA area that has been taken care of VERY well and I really hope the new owner will take over this task.
Feel free to e-mail me for any questions you may have.

I'm interested in possible trades for a 968 or early 80s 911targa, sc or 3.2.
