Also: Can someone tell me about these OIL RETURN TUBES?
All four tubes were leaking on each end. I was going to take them out with the "SMASH AND BEND AND CUT" method, but a funny thing happened. When I slid the circlip into the middle of each tube and got on it with some vice grips, they came RIGHT OUT. Total time - 10 seconds for each tube.
Are these some kind of older-style collapsible return tube or something?
I was excited to get the tubes out, because 1. I'm going to do the cooling tin mod and 2. I need a little room to get the end of the LONG oil line off.
The big nut is stuck, and the fitting that goes into the case wants to come out with the line. Any suggestions? It's soaking in some PB blaster right now.
