The LanCay M9 is NOT a high Rockwell hardness blade, which is why it became dull quickly for you. It's less that 60 Rockwell, which is (pardon my French) crappy.

High Rockwell is 62, 63, not 59, 60. Don't assume that your "high Rockwell" knife will dull faster than a "low" Rockwell knife.
