First, with my Lebanese heritage, my first choice of name was KIBBIE (the word for a Lebanese Christmas meatloaf-type dish made from ...lamb!). Obviously, I was not allowed to name him. My favorite name for him came from a friend. My husband's name is Rod - so Lamb of Rod was my personal favorite 
Second, as it happened, we went out for lamb shish-kabob the night we took him to his new home last year. And this year, we had kibbie for dinner just after we visited him.
