The intake runners don't all flow the same (some flow more air, some less, some about right), hence the variation in exhaust temps.
I just removed the exhaust from my motor
(3.0L turbo) and the difference in exhaust port coloration is obvious.
Did you record the temps and cylinder #'s?
That would be interesting?
