Over the years Westbrook has absolutely killed the Giants.
Again and again, including in both games this year.
To me, without Plaxico, the Giants are a totally different team. With no legitimate blue-chip deep threat to cash in on play action fakes their offense (or any run-first offense for that matter) is far less dangerous. In the first matchup this season Eagles DC Jim Johnson kept Burress doubled the whole game(he had no catches) but the eagles got eaten alive by the giants run game. In game 2, with no burress demanding a double coverage 2 deep safety look, the eagles were able to stack the line of scrimage and seriously impede the giants running game, holding the giants to 211 total yards.
The Eagles won in the meadowlands a few weeks ago(that game was nowhere near as close as the final score, btw- it was a total Eagles domination) are 4-2 in their last 6 trips to the Meadowlands, and Reid has generally owned them for the most part in his 10 years here. Still, the Giants are a great running team and that's a hostile environment. It will be very hard for the Eagles to win there next sunday.
