The Weissach was much more than just a badge and luggage.
They were suposed to be a limit edition of 205 cars but we know this was exceeded. One of mine is number 210 and another in Texas is 219.
The Weissach option was a $6000 option back in 1982 so not cheap by any means.
Full two tone special leather interior. First US car to have front and rear spoilers as standard.
Mostly cosmetic I agree but very special in my book as I have two of them.
The Jubilee was the only other "special edition" 928 ever built by Porsche.
Meteor Metallic Grey with a full Burgundy leather interior. 1982 again but a 300HP Euro and only made for the ROW market not the US. Very unique in that it has Ferry Porsche's signature in the headrest. It was built to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of Porsche. Porsche also made a 924 and 911 version as well. Limited to only 140 928 cars. I know of three that made it to the States. One was stripped down to make a track car and I own the interior from it. The other two are here in Texas, one in Trophy Club which is about 10 miles from where I live and the other is in my Garage.
Both the Weissach and the Jubilee are very special cars in my book.
