Computers will help memorizing all turns, but real life adds a lot to the mix.
Since flat out to me, means maxing out the lap speed for the given car, maxing out acceleration, breaking, cornering speeds and top speeds
I would hate to think that anybody shows up in a respectfully potent car,
with the intent of "maxing it out" on lap one of the Ring on the basis that "i practiced at home"
For obvious reasons, maxing out a Reliant Robin, is not the same as maxing out a GT3

Hardest part for me has always been remembering what's up next on a new track.
