Yes! I made up a BBQ marinade last night with some super hot Thai chili paste, ketchup and brown sugar among other things. lots of water, threw in 4 chicken thighs last night thinking it would reduce down to a nice syrupy sauce. it did, but got busy this morning and it went down to a paste. Smelled so good and all the sugar was starting to burn, I decidedly to let it go, and let it burn full-on for the next 30 minutes.

Serious burnt crust on the outside, heavenly smokey sweet BBQ chili flavor throughout the meat, which just fell away from the bone.
here are 2 thighs cut up on Wonder Bread with mayo and some cooling dill pickle relish and cole slaw. Just devoured it.
