aminter0: I'll PM you if you like but suffice it to say it was a good bit less than what was advertised and much less than asking price at Hershey. I had it PPI'd and came away satisfied with what I was getting for the price, while recognizing that the seller needs to make some money as well.

1982911SCTarga: You can see my car is about as non-hot rod as they come. How long it will stay that way I don't know but my gut tells me not to mess with it at all until I master driving it in its present state, skinny tires, steelies and all. Not so sure about the special interest group though - my family puts up with enough of my S.H.I.T. as it is.

Over on the Early S Registry I responded to a post about the sportomatic.org website and offered to help keep it running. I also suggested that a registry of Sporto cars - those few 914s as well as 911s - be developed for all of the reasons described. Not all 911 Sportos are longhoods so folks here who don't go there should be made aware of it as well.
