The movie was filmed in Michigan, where the Gov. a former actress is giving huge rebate incentives to the film industry...and there is a huge facility being built in Allen Park to try and attract more movies there.
The only critique of the film that I read was that some of the actors that Clint used were new, and a bit raw...but that probably adds to the realism of the film. Cant wait to see it.

Arrive on time. There's some wonderful wry Eastwood humor in the opening scene that sort of sets up the whole film.
Eastwood's acting style has always been a bit wooden. The range of expressions for example, that he usually employs, is not particularly broad.
Somehow though, in this film he undergoes this complete transformation from beginning to end that is entirely uncharacteristic—and very charming.
We had no idea what the film was about when we went there, and took along a young Vietnamese couple that was visiting us for a couple of days. They emigrated here four years ago, and we have been helping them get started.
Seeing the film with them was an added plus. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.
