My favorite two cooking tools are my 12" cast iron skillet and cast iron dutch oven. It took a while to the get dutch oven seasoned just right but it's finally there.
Heavy bastage that it is, it sure cooks nice.
My wife knows that if either one ends up in the dish washer or get touched by a scouring pad, it's all over
