I'm not sure entirely what you're asking, but I use rechargables.
NiCads are nearly worthless.
NiMH work very well and work well on in Camera applications (High current for the CCD). Don't don't have the same memmory effect as NiCad
I don't know of Lithium rechargables in standard forms.
