What they will do, for sure, is raise taxes on everything. Income tax and sales tax are the obvious ones. And then the less obvious ones like payroll taxes and other taxes and fees on employers. And tons of hidden taxes in the form of "fees" for everything from trash collection to golf lessons.
As has already been happening, more and more businesses will flee california.
Even Obama would not do the things they are doing in California (raising taxes, fees, etc.) during an economic downturn, because it's obvious that has a hugely negative impact.
But, California does not have the luxury that Obama, Pelosi and Reid have - the ability to print money. So it has to do the next best thing - confiscate it from its businesses and citizens.
