I suppose you know about the peripheral canal that the Guber is attempting to shove down our throats? What with the debt level Ca already has, this will likely add another $20 Billion. He is just DOING it with no approval from legislature or voters as I understand it....construction to begin in 2011. This will ruin the Delta farmers and fisheries. This project was handily voted down decades ago but, as usual, they try again...this time by fiat.
I'd vote to secede but how about and East/West instead of North/South?
