Must be because I was talking of replacing it!
Is the clutch cable definitely OK? Could be snapped even though it feels normal. Otherwise linkage? Get it, as Paul says, picked up on the back of a recovery truck as oppossed to just lifting the front end to your Porsche mechanic of choice. Really might be just a linkage, or clutch cable.
