I have a 2004 Xterra and I love it. 2004 was the last year of the old body style, and they are built like a rock. I have a manual with 4WD SE, and it gets good mileage as well as it goes anywhere. Only thing that bothers me about it, is that in order to fold down the back seats for cargo room, you have to take out the bottom seat cushions due to the stadium seating. it take 2 seconds to do, but then you have to figure out where to stow the seat bottoms.

Otherwise I love mine, and drive it daily.
