If not concerned with originality, sell your motor and pick up a good used SC motor with stock injection. It is an easy swap, you will get better gas mileage, it will still be desirable in the event of sale, and should not add that much to your cost unless you get carried away. If so, keep you exhaust if not roted.

Or if you can get your idea to work, place your stock carbs in a box for safe keeping, and if you ever sell it, thenyou can sell the original fuel delivery with it as well.
