I have loved cars, particularly sports cars, since I was a small child. And of all of the sports cars that I love, the 911 is
the car that "does it" for me. Not sure why.
I autocrossed my RX-7 regularly back in 1982-84 in Central Ohio. There were 2 cars in particular that I loved watching -- an orange '72 911S (driven by a Dr. Glen Hanniger) & a lime green '74 Carrera (driven by Brook Mosgrove). Something about the purposefullness, the look & the sound made me realize that I had to have a 911.
I wasn't able to buy my 911 until February 2001, but the wait only made it that much sweeter. Thankfully I got a good one. I tell my wife that my 911 is a good investment...an investment in my soul.
I don't think I could ever sell my 911...but I would like to add a Cayman S to the garage at some point. While I appreciate the new 911s, they have evolved into more of a GT car. I think the Cayman is more like the older 911s -- smaller, more of a sports car.
